UI/UX Design

Product & App Design

We design the screens your product actually needs — structured around the task at hand, tested with real people before anything gets built.

What this actually is

Interfaces designed around the actual task, tested before they are built.

Product and app design starts with the job your product has to do, not with a colour palette. We work out who uses it, what they are trying to finish, and where they currently get stuck. Structure and flow get decided in wireframes first. Visual design comes after the shape of the thing is settled.

High-fidelity screens cover the states that actually occur — empty, loading, error, offline, half-filled form — not just the happy path a deck shows. Most of your users will open this on a mid-range Android phone, so we design at that size first. Then we test the flow with real people and refine it before anything reaches engineering.

How we work

Four steps, in this order.

01

Research

Understand the user and the job the product needs to do.

02

Wireframe

Structure and flow decided before visual design starts.

03

Design

High-fidelity screens across the states that actually occur.

04

Test

Validate with real users, then refine before handoff.

What you get

Every engagement hands over these.

  • Annotated wireframes for every core flow in the product
  • High-fidelity screens covering empty, loading, error and success states
  • A clickable prototype of the main journeys, ready to demo
  • Developer handoff file with specs, assets and interaction notes

Who it’s for

This is usually the right fit when…

  • You have a product idea and a rough feature list, but no idea what the screens should be.
  • Your app works but people drop off, and nobody on the team can say exactly where.
  • You are about to brief developers and want the design settled before their time starts costing money.

Questions

The things people ask before starting.

Can you design for an app we have already built?

Yes. We start by going through the live product and mapping what exists, including the parts nobody documented. From there we can either redesign specific flows that are causing problems or work through the whole thing. Redesigning one flow at a time is usually cheaper and easier for your developers to ship.

Do we need research if we already know our users?

Often you know them better than we do — that is useful, and we will use it. What founders usually cannot see is where their own product confuses someone on first contact. A short round of research is there to catch that, not to tell you things about your market you already know.

Can you also build what you design?

Yes — our engineering team builds web and mobile products, and handing design straight over to the same people removes a lot of the usual back and forth. But you are not obliged to. The handoff files are built so any competent developer can work from them, in-house or otherwise.

What if we disagree with a design decision?

Then we talk about it. Every screen exists for a reason we can explain, so a disagreement is usually about a goal that was never stated clearly rather than about taste. If the reason does not hold up, we change it. If it does, you still get the final call — it is your product.
