Brand & Visual Identity

A visual identity that works on a phone screen, a pitch deck and a shopfront sign — not just in a logo presentation.

What this actually is

A visual identity built to hold up across a website, a pitch deck and a product.

A brand is not a logo. It is the set of decisions — name treatment, colour, type, tone, spacing — that make your company recognisable whether someone meets you through an Instagram post, an invoice or a product screen. We start with who you are talking to and what the brand has to signal to them.

Concept directions get explored openly and narrowed with your feedback, so you see the reasoning rather than one option presented as already decided. Once the identity is locked, we write the rules for using it and package the files your printer, your developer and whoever runs your social accounts will actually need.

How we work

Four steps, in this order.

01

Discover

Understand the audience and what the brand needs to signal.

02

Explore

Concept directions — logo, colour, type — narrowed with feedback.

03

Define

Lock the final identity and the rules for using it.

04

Package

Guidelines and assets delivered ready to use everywhere.

What you get

Every engagement hands over these.

  • Primary logo plus variants for small, dark and single-colour use
  • Colour palette and type scale with usage rules
  • A brand guidelines document covering correct and incorrect use
  • Source and export files for print, web and social

Who it’s for

This is usually the right fit when…

  • You are launching and everything you have is a logo someone made in a hurry.
  • Your materials all look like they came from different companies, because they did.
  • You are raising money or pitching partners and the brand undercuts what you are saying.

Questions

The things people ask before starting.

Do we get the source files, or just exported images?

You get both, and you own them. Editable source files, exported logos in the formats print and web each need, and the fonts or the links to buy them. We are not interested in holding your files hostage so that you have to come back to us for a resize.

How many logo concepts will we see?

Fewer than a template agency would show you, and each one with a reason attached. Showing a wall of options mostly transfers the decision onto you. We narrow to a small set of genuinely different directions, explain what each one signals, then refine the one you choose.

Can you rework our existing brand instead of starting over?

Often that is the better call. If the mark already has recognition, throwing it away costs you something real. We can keep the core and fix what is failing — a logo that disappears at small sizes, a palette with no contrast, type that was never chosen for screens.

Does this include a website?

Not by default — identity and website are separate pieces of work. What you get here is everything a site needs to be built consistently: colour, type, logo behaviour and tone. Our web team can take it from there, or your own developer can. The guidelines are written to be handed to someone else.
