E-commerce & Marketplaces
Online selling that survives contact with reality — real payment routes, real delivery, real returns, and tools to run it day to day.
What this actually is
Selling online, including the awkward parts: local payment methods, delivery, and returns.
Building the storefront is the easy part. The work that decides whether a shop makes money sits behind it: how the catalogue is structured, what a customer is charged for delivery, what happens when they pay and the item turns out to be out of stock. We design those rules with you before anything is built.
Checkout is where most of it is won or lost. We integrate the payment methods your buyers actually use — card, transfer, Paystack or Flutterwave — and always build a fallback, because a gateway having a bad afternoon should not close your shop. Marketplaces add another layer: seller accounts, commission, payouts and disputes.
How we work
Four steps, in this order.
Model
Work out the catalogue, pricing and who gets paid what.
Checkout
Payment routes that work here, with a fallback when one goes down.
Operate
Give the team the tools to fulfil, refund and reconcile without you.
Grow
Instrument the funnel and fix the step people abandon.
What you get
Every engagement hands over these.
- A live store with catalogue, checkout and a tested payment route
- An admin area for orders, stock, refunds and reconciliation
- Delivery and returns rules configured to match how you actually operate
- Funnel tracking from product page through to completed order
Who it’s for
This is usually the right fit when…
- You sell through direct messages and a spreadsheet, and orders are starting to fall through the cracks.
- You have a store, but buyers reach checkout and abandon it, and you cannot tell why.
- You want sellers other than yourself on the platform, with commission and payouts handled automatically.
Questions
The things people ask before starting.
Can we just use Shopify or an existing marketplace?
Often yes, and we will say so. If you sell a straightforward catalogue and the payment methods you need are supported, a hosted platform is cheaper and faster than anything custom. Building from scratch earns its keep when your pricing, delivery rules or seller model do not fit the box a platform gives you.
What happens when a payment succeeds but the order does not go through?
That gap is where trust dies, so we close it deliberately. Payments are confirmed against the gateway rather than trusting what the browser reports, and every attempt is logged with enough detail to trace it. If something still slips through, your admin can see the payment, match it to the order and settle it without guessing.
Who handles delivery?
You do, or a courier you choose — we build the software around whichever it is. That means the rules for zones and charges, the status a customer sees, and the record your team works from. If your courier has an API we connect it; if dispatch is a person with a phone, the tools suit that instead.
How do we keep stock accurate if we also sell offline?
By deciding early which system holds the master record. Two systems both claiming the truth is how you end up selling the same item twice. Usually the shop becomes the source and offline sales are entered there, or we integrate with whatever you already use. That is a decision to make at scoping, not a feature to add later.
